What Gets Inspected

From roof to crawlspace and everything in between, Red Door Home Inspections is dedicated to providing you with a thorough home inspection.

Here are some of the items that will be inspected and tested where applicable; please note that not all areas of a home to be inspected are accessible at time of inspection, especially if home is occupied.

Exterior:  Walkways, driveways, siding, trim, windows, eves, soffits, gutters, doors, hose bibs, electrical receptacles, patio and porch covers, foundations, landscape (as related to foundation of home).

Roof:  Roof coverings, vents, flashings

Garage:  Garage door, automatic opener and safety reverse system, walls, fire barriers, lighting, electrical receptacles.

Electrical:  main panel and meter

Plumbing:  water heater, interior faucets and drains, toilets, showers/baths, water softeners, gas meter, water supply lines and water service lines, main water shutoff valve.

Heating and cooling system

Interior:  All interior spaces where accessible, rooms, hallways, basements, bathrooms, closets (where accessible) stairways, kitchen, living room, dining room.

Interior electrical:  Electrical receptacles, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, kitchen appliances, lights
